I mean, fuck. no one treats vocals quite like Four Tet. cannot wait for the full version and to pre-order a copy of the 5x12” boxset on March 29th.

Monster acid-electro track from Boddika, out today on Swamp81. Alienwares and laser-guided stares, “swamped” in 808 subs the size of the moon (see what I did there?). Big B-side to “Acid Jackson”, grab the vinyl-only release while its hot.
Also, super chill interview with Swamp81 head honcho Loefah today on RA, recommened a read for this sick of producers yapping about how they’ve always “loved” house music and are excited about making “bass music”.
Instra:mental’s ever-evolving imprint is preparing to drop one of the more esoteric dance singles of the year in Double Heart’s “Salsa”, a glooped out swirl of an electro-house joint that jams on a particularly twisted variety of wavelengths. What strikes initially is the oscillating breakdown, but once inside the blender we are subjected to beady, drizzled percussion and six different shades of fire. A true hybrid, JD Twitch and Neil Landstrumm’s new Doubleheart project sounds very next level, indeed.
Such. a. jam. Dayum.

FACT reported today that an upcoming Swamp81 release is in the works, combining the hard analog electro of Boddika that is enveloping the London scene with the soul-inflected techno productions of moniker-shifting Doldrums label head Joy Orbison.

The track is entitled “Swim”, and…that’s pretty much all we know for now. An interesting collaboration nonetheless, and further proof that Swamp81 is miles ahead of everyone else in bass music right now.
F*cking huge. Instra:mental come very, very correct with this 12” sampler for their upcoming Resolution 653 LP on their label, NonPlus. “Thomp” is a masterclass in airy grime reduction, a sucker punch to the gut that will leave dancers gasping for breath. The flip, “When I Dip”, delves into B-more and Chi-town juke territory with some syncopated claps, dirty bass hits, and an irresistibly catchy vocal sample that, well, makes me want to dip, and dip hard.
Really looking forward to this album, it’s out and about on the first week of April.
F*cking serious business from Alex Green, one half of Instra:mental and currently pushing out some of the hottest DJ tracks in the UK under his Boddika moniker. The above sample of “Electron” is the A-side to his Swamp81 release that is available today, scoop it up before it’s gone over at Boomkat. 12” vinyl comes housed in Ashes57 artwork and is backed with “Underground”, a seriously sinister 808-analogue workout that complements the flip side perfectly. Loefah and his label continues the low-end assault on UK club music…
