Saturate Records artist Raadsel on an Siberian tundra tip. The Dutch artist creates emotive, beat-laden soundscapes that wouldn’t be out of place on an imprint like Tri Angle. “Snow” features a slowly rising bass synth, emerging from the permafrost to suitably underpin a haunting (and gorgeously treated) vocal sample. Burial-indebted for sure, but there’s an honesty and professionalism in this work that suggests Raadsel will be making some serious waves over the coming months.
Scope the Saturate web site and check out their stellar lineup of artists, Krampfhaft and Luisterwaar are particularly intriguing prospects with some impressive work to their name. Other notable artists include Visionist, Coco Bryce, and rising Russian skwee don, Pixelord. As always, keep your ear to the ground and just watch these guys grow…very promising stuff.
