‘This Ain’t Chicago’ collects some of the earliest UK acid house material produced in response to Chicago’s burgeoning club scene. the tunes, compiled by Richard Sen (who’s throwing an album release party at Cielo on 6/29), make for an interesting and timely release considering the drum machine & acid house popularity rise over the past two years. this Tom Moulton edit saunters through 14 minutes with a loose house groove, cheesy early 90’s vocals, and a wicked acid bass line. there are far better tracks on the comp too - so take my word for it and look out for release on 6/25.
